Two Pakistani soldiers were martyred in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast, on Sunday, in Buleda area of Kech district, Balochistan.

According to security officials, the attack occurred early in the morning as a routine border patrol was moving between NHP and Kotan Post. The IED, planted by unknown terrorists, exploded suddenly, claiming the lives of Naib Subedar Noor Ali and Lance Naik Sarfaraz.

Immediately after the incident, security forces sealed off the area and began a search operation to locate those responsible for the deadly attack.

Authorities strongly condemned the attack, calling it a cowardly act and a reminder of the ongoing security challenges in the border regions.

“The sacrifices of our brave soldiers will never be forgotten,” a security official stated. “Their martyrdom is a solemn reminder of the dangers faced in the line of duty.”

No terror group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack. Investigations are ongoing.
