Security forces have successfully eliminated three most-wanted terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in the Kot Kashmir area of Lakki Marwat, . Among the dead are two Khawarij’s who carried hefty government bounties on their heads and were linked to a string of high-profile attacks in the region. The operation, launched on credible intelligence, targeted a hideout associated with the “Tipu Gul Marwat Group,” a notorious faction involved in terrorism and targeted killings. During the intense engagement, multiple terrorists were neutralized.
Authorities have identified one of the slain militants as Chhota Waseem, a key commander of the group who was on the police’s most-wanted list for his involvement in several terror incidents. The second militant has been identified as Commander Tariq alias Ilham, a notorious figure affiliated with a target-killing network. The government had announced a bounty of Rs4 million for his capture, dead or alive. The third deceased Khawarij’s has been identified as Imran alias Ali. According to sources, his body was severely burned during the firefight, but subsequent forensic analysis confirmed his identity. He was carrying a government bounty of Rs6 million.
Security officials hailed the operation as a significant blow to terrorist networks operating in southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. “These terrorists were not only involved in deadly attacks but also posed a direct threat to peace and security in the region,” an official stated. The successful operation reflects the growing effectiveness of coordinated intelligence and counter terrorism efforts by the country’s security forces.
