CTD Punjab Foils Major Terror Plot, Arrests Three Indian RAW-Linked Terrorists

CTD Punjab, RAW Agents

Punjab’s Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has foiled a major terror plot by arresting three terrorists linked to India’s intelligence agency, RAW. The arrests averted potentially large-scale attacks in Lahore, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, and Pakpattan.

According to a CTD Punjab spokesperson, the terrorists were planning to carry out attacks at key locations during Eid. Acting on intelligence reports, CTD teams raided Pathan Colony on Jhang Road, arresting the suspects and seizing a large cache of weapons.

The spokesperson said the arrested terrorists were operating on behalf of both the extremist outfit Fitna al-Khawarij and India’s RAW. They had crossed the border illegally multiple times and held meetings with RAW operatives in Srinagar and Rajasthan.

The timely operation prevented what could have been devastating attacks in several major cities of Punjab.
