In an act of extraordinary courage and sacrifice, Constable Muhammad Khumari Baloch of the Gwadar Police embraced martyrdom after bravely confronting and defeating terrorists linked to the India-backed group BLA (Fitna-e-Hindustan).
The incident occurred around midnight on May 10, near the Bilal Mosque residential quarters in Gwadar. Two terrorists launched a grenade attack on the premises, aiming to unleash chaos. Constable Khumari, a member of the police’s Eagle Squad, rushed to the scene upon hearing the explosion, without hesitation or backup.
Engaging the attackers single-handedly, Khumari neutralized one terrorist and prevented what could have been a major tragedy. Despite sustaining eight bullet wounds, he fought until the end. He succumbed to his injuries and was martyred on May 11, 2025.
Constable Muhammad Khumari Baloch was born on February 3, 2001, in Gwadar’s Sehrabi Ward. He completed his schooling at Dar-ul-Uloom Higher Secondary School, joined Gwadar Police on January 27, 2024, and completed his seven-month training in Qalat and Quetta before being deployed.
He was laid to rest with full state honours, a tribute to his bravery, dedication, and ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
His heroism will not be forgotten, he stood alone against terror, shielded his city from bloodshed, and left behind a legacy of valour that will inspire generations to come.
