MOFA Slams Indian Leadership’s Provocative Rhetoric, Terms It a Threat to Regional Peace

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) has strongly condemned the recent wave of provocative, anti-Pakistan statements from Indian leadership, describing them as a manifestation of a dangerous mindset that prioritizes hostility over peace and stability in South Asia.

Responding to media queries regarding inflammatory remarks made by Indian political leaders in recent days particularly during election rallies in Bihar and the comments issued by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs on May 29, 2025, the Foreign Office Spokesperson said such rhetoric reflects a deeply troubling approach rooted in animosity rather than diplomacy.

“Attempts by India to scapegoat Pakistan for regional instability are not only baseless but entirely divorced from reality,” the Spokesperson stated. “The international community is fully cognizant of India’s aggressive posture, and Pakistan possesses irrefutable evidence of Indian involvement in terrorist activities on its soil. No amount of disinformation or deflection can conceal these facts.”

The Spokesperson reiterated that the Jammu and Kashmir dispute remains the gravest obstacle to lasting peace in the region. “Pakistan is unwavering in its commitment to a just, peaceful, and durable resolution of this dispute, in line with UN Security Council resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. Sidestepping this core issue only entrenches mistrust and fuels the risk of perpetual conflict.”

Commenting on recent developments, the Spokesperson emphasized that India’s strategy of belligerence and pressure politics continues to fail. “India cannot realise its objectives through threats, deceptive narratives, or coercive tactics.”

Reaffirming Pakistan’s position, the Spokesperson added: “Pakistan remains committed to peace and constructive engagement. However, we are fully prepared to safeguard our sovereignty and territorial integrity against any misadventure.”

Concluding the statement, MOFA called on India to abandon its confrontational approach and instead pursue meaningful dialogue aimed at resolving underlying disputes. “Sustainable peace in South Asia demands seriousness, restraint, and a genuine effort to address the root causes of conflict—not incendiary rhetoric for domestic political gain.”
