In yet another brazen act of terrorism, Indian-backed Khawarij abducted five individuals, including two personnel of the Frontier Corps, from the village of Paharkhel Pakka in the Ghazni Khel area late last night, exposing the hypocrisy of their repeated claims that they do not target civilians. The abductees, who were returning from a wedding ceremony, were intercepted near a seasonal stream around 11:50 PM on May 26 by armed members of the so-called Niaz Ali Group (Sheri Khel), a notorious faction actively supported by Indian intelligence networks.
The victims include Khan Tehsil, son of Bakht Mir, serving with FC Balochistan, and Ihsan, son of Mir Alam, an official of FC Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Constabulary, alongside three civilians: Shakir, son of Ismatullah; Misbah, son of Javed; and Qudratullah, son of Riffatullah. All five belong to the same locality, Khairo Khel Pakka. Another individual, Aftab, son of Gul Mir, who was part of the group, narrowly escaped and reported the incident to the authorities.
This latest kidnapping underscores the growing threat posed by the Khawarij network, which, while attempting to present itself as a force that spares non-combatants, continues to blatantly target innocent civilians and security personnel alike, now with the overt backing of a hostile foreign power. The incident follows closely on the heels of a deadly ambush in Lakki Marwat’s Jabu Khel area, where two police officials were martyred in a terrorist attack.
Local police and security forces swiftly cordoned off the area and launched a large-scale search operation. Investigations are ongoing, and coordinated efforts are being made to ensure the safe recovery of the abductees and dismantle the terror infrastructure behind the attack.
The state remains resolute in its commitment to uproot terrorism in all its forms. This act of abduction, funded and facilitated by India and carried out by their ideological proxies in the region, will not go unanswered.
