Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, has categorically rejected baseless allegations leveled by a neighboring country, stating that Pakistan has never bowed to external pressure and never will.
In an exclusive interview with CGTN China Urdu, the military spokesperson said a certain country is advancing a false narrative without providing any evidence, in a bid to assert regional dominance. “Pakistan will never allow any state to impose hegemony over it on the basis of lies and propaganda,” he said. “We stood firm yesterday, and we shall stand firm tomorrow.”
Lt Gen Chaudhry said that after divine help, the defining factor in Pakistan’s victories has been the unshakable confidence and resolve of its people. “It was our determination that drew the world to our side,” he remarked.
He stressed that terrorism remains the greatest barrier to development and reaffirmed that Pakistan and China are united in their commitment to eradicate this scourge. “Both nations are responsible stakeholders in global peace. Our shared vision prioritizes the welfare of our people and sustainable progress.”
The DG ISPR noted that today’s world faces far more urgent challenges, such as climate change, population pressure, and the weaponization of misinformation. “Mature nations are looking toward cooperation for the betterment of humanity, not conflict,” he said.
Challenging the logic of hegemonic ambitions, Lt Gen Chaudhry posed a pointed question: “In a modern, interconnected world, can any state truly justify attempts to dominate its neighbors?” He reaffirmed Pakistan’s defiance, stating, “We have never submitted to tyranny, and we never will. Our desire for martyrdom surpasses the fear of death.”
“Whether in blue, white, or khaki—martyrdom is an honor for us,” he added.
Lauding China’s development model, the spokesperson said, “China has shown the world what visionary leadership and national cohesion can achieve—even with the largest population on earth. The people of Pakistan, too, aspire to move forward on the path of peace and prosperity.”
He noted that while there may be no jubilant parades in Pakistan’s streets, the nation is offering thanks to God. “We are a peace-loving nation that celebrates with humility, not pride.”
Concluding his remarks, Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said the time has come to direct the collective strength of the country—its armed forces, people, government, media, and youth—towards defeating terrorism once and for all. “This united ‘Iron Wall’ will drive us toward a new era of security, stability, and national progress.”
