A highly alarming video circulated from the United Kingdom has raised serious concerns regarding public safety, incitement to violence, and the misuse of foreign territory to promote anti-state agendas. In the video, protesters openly threatened the life of a Field Marshal, calling for a bomb attack against him. The incident has drawn condemnation from credible sources and underscores the urgent need for the enforcement of international and domestic anti-terrorism laws.
According to verified reports, the video was disseminated on 23 December 2025 through a PTI-affiliated official account. It features individuals on UK soil issuing direct threats to kill the Field Marshal using explosives. One woman in the video explicitly stated that anyone would eliminate the Field Marshal in a car bomb attack. Such statements, authorities assert, cannot be justified under freedom of expression or political dissent; they constitute incitement to terrorism and violent extremism.
The dissemination of this incendiary video by PTI-linked social media accounts further exacerbates the threat and raises concerns about organized efforts to spread anti-state propaganda abroad. Officials highlight that using foreign territory to promote violent agendas is a blatant violation of both international law and host nation regulations.
Under United Nations Security Council Resolution 1373, states are obligated to prevent, suppress, and counter terrorism, including the incitement, financing, or support of terrorist activities. In addition, the United Kingdom’s Terrorism Act 2006 classifies encouragement of terrorism as a serious criminal offense. The incident, therefore, constitutes a breach of both international obligations and UK domestic law.
Authorities in Pakistan have expressed deep concern over the misuse of British soil for propagating violent and extremist rhetoric. The event exposes the dualistic approach of certain political actors, who publicly claim to pursue dialogue while simultaneously engaging in activities that threaten national security and public order.
Pakistan has formally requested that UK authorities identify those involved, conduct a thorough investigation, and ensure that legal action is taken against the perpetrators. The incident is being treated as a test of the United Kingdom’s commitment to upholding international law, combating terrorism, and maintaining responsible governance.
This development serves as a stark reminder of the global responsibilities of states in preventing the spread of extremist and violent ideologies, particularly when foreign territory is used to target officials and destabilize other nations. Pakistan calls on the international community to condemn such acts and support measures to hold accountable those who attempt to incite violence across borders.
