An anti-terrorism court in Peshawar on Monday remanded two alleged facilitators of the proscribed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan into the custody of the Counter Terrorism Department for four days for further investigation.

The accused, identified as Tayyab Khan and Jawadullah, were produced before the Anti-Terrorism Court, presided over by Judge Farid Alizai, on charges of providing logistical support to the banned militant outfit.

According to the investigating officer, the suspects were previously arrested on the identification of an accomplice and were found to be involved in supplying weapons and funds to the proscribed organization. Weapons were also recovered from their possession at the time of arrest.

The court accepted the prosecution’s request for physical remand and handed the accused over to CTD Mohmand for interrogation and further probe into their alleged links with the banned outfit.
