Security forces and local police, in Lakki Marwat, conducted a joint search operation in the village of Eisak Khel, resulting in the killing of two terrorists linked with the outlawed Fitna al-Khawarij.

According to security sources, the operation was launched following credible intelligence about the presence of wanted terrorists in the area. During the exchange of fire, two militants were killed on the spot.

The deceased were identified as Sajjad, son of Ahya Jan, and Shoaib, son of Fazal Ghani. Both men were residents of Nawar Khel in Lakki City and had been on the run for some time, reportedly involved in terrorist planning and subversive activities in the district.

Authorities said the slain militants had ties with extremist groups and were planning attacks targeting law enforcement and civilians. Weapons and other material were also recovered from their possession.

The successful operation, officials added, highlights the ongoing efforts of security agencies and police to eliminate militant hideouts and restore peace in the region. A search of the surrounding area was completed to ensure no further threats remained.
