Two FAK Terrorists Eliminated in Khyber IBO, Weapons Recovered

Security forces killed two terrorists, affiliated with the banned TTP or Fitna al-Khawarij (FAK), during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Bara Tehsil of Khyber district, officials said on Wednesday.

According to security sources, the operation was launched on a tip-off regarding the presence of terrorists in the area. During the operation, an intense exchange of fire took place between the militants and the security forces, resulting in the deaths of both terrorists.

Forces recovered a large cache of arms, ammunition, and explosives from the site. The recovered materials included assault rifles, hand grenades, and other combat equipment, indicating the militants were planning to launch an attack in the region.

Security forces have cordoned off the area and initiated a search operation to trace possible facilitators or remaining militant elements.

The latest operation is part of the ongoing nationwide campaign against terrorism, which has seen an uptick in intelligence-based actions in recent weeks, particularly across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

Officials said the successful operation in Bara reflects the security forces’ continued commitment to eliminating the remnants of terrorist networks that have recently stepped up attacks targeting both security personnel and civilians.
