TANK, March 29, 2025: An attempted abduction by militants of the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) turned deadly in the Jandola subdivision of Tank district, where a fierce exchange of fire resulted in the death of one militant.

According to police sources, the incident occurred in the village of Gabar Ali Khel when TTP militants stormed the residence of Khasadar officer Badam Gul, son of Sheikh Gul, and tried to abduct him. However, a heated confrontation broke out between the militants and the officer’s brothers, Saddam Khan and Eid Khan.

The verbal clash soon escalated into an armed exchange, during which one of the militants, identified as Abid, sustained critical injuries and later died.

In retaliation, the militants abducted both brothers—Saddam and Eid—and fled towards an unknown location.

Police have launched a full-scale investigation into the incident and initiated search operations to recover the kidnapped individuals. The situation remains tense, and authorities are on high alert in the region.
