Terrorists opened fire on a police vehicle near Amin Farms along Tank Road in Dera Ismail Khan, prompting a strong retaliatory response from police personnel and forcing the attackers to flee.

According to police, the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Kalachi and the Station House Officer (SHO) Hathala were travelling with other personnel towards the area for a raid when terrorists opened fire on their vehicle near Amin Farms.

Police personnel immediately returned fire and effectively engaged the attackers, forcing them to retreat from the area.

During the exchange of fire, the DSP Kalachi’s vehicle overturned. As a result, a police gunman and an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) sustained minor injuries.

The injured personnel were immediately shifted to a hospital, where they were provided medical treatment. Their condition was reported to be stable.

Following the attack, police personnel launched further security measures in the area and began efforts to trace the fleeing terrorists.

The incident highlights the continued threat posed by terrorists in Dera Ismail Khan and adjoining areas, where police and security forces continue to conduct raids and intelligence-based operations against terrorist networks.
