Security forces neutralized multiple terrorists and recovered a large cache of weapons during an intelligence-based operation in Lakki Marwat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to security sources.

The operation was launched after credible intelligence indicated the presence and movement of terrorists at a hideout in the area. Security forces maintained close surveillance of the suspected hideout and monitored the terrorists’ movements before confirming their identities and presence.

After the intelligence was verified, the hideout was targeted with a quadcopter strike. Ground forces subsequently advanced towards the location and successfully cordoned off the hideout, engaging the terrorists in an exchange of fire.

Several terrorists were killed during the ensuing clash, while a large quantity of weapons was recovered from the hideout.

Security officials said the operation was part of ongoing efforts to eliminate terrorist networks and prevent them from establishing footholds in the area.

They said the fight against terrorism would continue until the last terrorist is eliminated and the country is secured from the threat.
