In a high-impact counter-terrorism operation, Pakistan’s Special Services Group (SSG), supported by aerial assets, eliminated ten terrorists affiliated with Fitna al-Hindustan (FAH) during a targeted assault on a militant training camp in the rugged Shurpurood Mountains near Nasirabad.
According to security sources, actionable intelligence on July 18 indicated the presence of 25–30 militants undergoing training at the remote FAH camp. On July 19, a four-member SSG counter-terrorism team was inserted into the area to conduct a covert strike.
The SSG team observed 8–10 terrorists at the location and engaged them in coordination with helicopter gunships. The engagement resulted in five terrorists being neutralized by ground forces, while five more were killed in precision strikes by Bell helicopters.
Recovered items from the camp included 3 sub-machine guns with ammunition; An anti-tank mine, 9 motorcycles with various accessories, 8 rations bags, medical kits, bedding, and other logistical supplies.
The successful operation marks a significant blow to Fitna al-Hindustan’s operational capabilities in the region, demonstrating the resolve and readiness of Pakistan’s elite forces to dismantle terrorist networks at their roots.
