In a successful counter-terrorism operation by the police in the jurisdiction of the Lachi Police Station, Kohat, three terrorists were killed after launching a retaliatory strike against a cowardly attack on the police vehicle. The attack resulted in the martyrdom of Probationer Assistant Sub-Inspector Ashfaq and injuries to two constables.
Upon receiving the report of the attack, Regional Police Officer Abbas Majid Marwat and District Police Officer Dr. Zahid Ullah immediately rushed to the scene with a heavy police contingent to take command of the operation. The police forces swiftly cordoned off the area and initiated a combing operation in the rugged mountains and dense forests.
As a result of the successful operation, three terrorists were killed, and their bodies were recovered. The identification process of the terrorists is currently underway. The police continue their search for other injured terrorists in the area.
RPO Abbas Majid Marwat, speaking on the occasion, praised the bravery of the police forces, stating, “Our courageous personnel faced the terrorists head-on and brought them to justice. We will never let the sacrifices of our martyrs go in vain, and our fight against terrorism will continue relentlessly.”
