After a successful counterterrorism operation in Lakki Marwat, security forces have carried out another targeted operation in Central Kurram based on credible intelligence, reportedly neutralizing and injuring several terrorists in precise drone-assisted strikes.

Security sources said the operation was launched after credible intelligence confirmed the presence of terrorists in the area. Security forces used precise drone strikes to target the suspected terrorist positions, inflicting casualties on the terrorists.

The operation is part of intensified intelligence-based efforts to track and eliminate terrorist networks operating in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, particularly in areas where terrorists have attempted to establish hideouts and maintain freedom of movement.

The latest action in Central Kurram comes after Operation 11 Garaj in Lakki Marwat, where security forces had targeted a terrorist hideout following the confirmation of terrorist presence and movement.

During that operation, security forces first maintained surveillance of the hideout and the terrorists’ movements. After confirming the target, a quadcopter strike was carried out, followed by a ground operation in which security personnel cordoned off the location and engaged the terrorists.

Several terrorists were killed in the ensuing exchange of fire, while a large quantity of weapons was recovered from the hideout.

The successive operations in Lakki Marwat and Central Kurram underscore the security forces’ reliance on intelligence-led operations and precision aerial capabilities to locate and strike terrorist positions before ground forces move in to secure the targeted areas.

Security officials have reiterated that counterterrorism operations will continue until terrorist networks are dismantled and their threat to local communities is eliminated.
