Security forces conducted a successful intelligence-based operation in the Lagap area of Dalbandin, resulting in the neutralization of a senior commander of the banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), identified as Ali Ahmed alias Nadir, along with one of his associates. The operation was carried out by FC Balochistan (South) on the basis of credible intelligence regarding the presence of Fitna al-Hindustan elements involved in multiple acts of violence and criminal activity.
According to security sources, the operation was initiated after confirmed intelligence indicated the movement and presence of armed individuals in the area. Security forces established a cordon and conducted a targeted search operation, during which suspicious individuals on a motorcycle were signaled to stop. However, the suspects reportedly opened fire on security personnel, prompting a swift and proportionate response.
In the ensuing exchange of fire, the BLA commander Ali Ahmed alias Nadir and his associate were neutralized. Security officials confirmed that both individuals were involved in terrorist activities and were linked to Fitna al-Hindustan networks operating in the region.
Following the operation, a significant cache of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the possession of the neutralized individuals. The recovered material included a submachine gun, multiple magazines, a pistol with magazines, ammunition, bandoliers, a flag associated with the banned organization, a mobile phone, and a motorcycle reportedly used in terrorist activities. Officials stated that the recovered weapons were being used in targeted killings and other acts of violence against civilians and state institutions.
Security authorities further stated that such operations are part of ongoing efforts to dismantle Fitna al-Hindustan networks, eliminate threats to national security, and ensure the safety of local communities. The presence of such armed elements in sensitive regions continues to pose a challenge to peace and stability, and security forces remain actively engaged in counter-terrorism operations across the province.
A clearance and search operation has been launched in the surrounding area to ensure that no additional hostile elements remain active. Security personnel are conducting follow-up actions to secure the region and verify any further intelligence leads.
Officials reiterated that operations against Fitna al-Hindustan elements will continue without interruption until all threats are neutralized. They emphasized that the protection of civilians, preservation of law and order, and enforcement of state authority remain the highest priorities.
“The security forces are committed to eliminating all elements involved in terrorism and violence. Operations will continue until lasting peace and stability are fully restored,” an official statement said.
Authorities have urged citizens to cooperate with law enforcement agencies and report any suspicious activity, highlighting that public support is essential for sustained peace and security in the region.
