Pakistan’s security forces continue large-scale coordinated operations against Fitna al-Khawarij in Balochistan, significantly degrading terrorist capabilities through sustained ground and aerial actions.
Pakistan’s Armed Forces, Frontier Corps (FC), and Balochistan Police are continuing the ongoing Operation Shabaan in response to the terrorist attack on the Mangi Dam Police Station. The operation reflects the unwavering resolve of the state to eliminate terrorism and restore lasting peace and stability across the region.
According to security sources, the operation has entered a decisive phase as security forces tighten the cordon around terrorist hideouts in the rugged mountainous terrain. Well-coordinated ground assaults, supported by precision aerial operations, are being conducted to dismantle terrorist networks, deny them freedom of movement, and neutralize remaining militant elements.
Security sources confirmed that 26 terrorists affiliated with Fitna al-Khawarij were eliminated during operations conducted on 6 and 7 July. Building on these successes, security forces have maintained relentless operational pressure, resulting in the elimination of an additional 13 terrorists during the past 24 hours. This brings the total number of terrorists neutralized under Operation Shabaan to 39.
In a separate development, terrorists launched an attack on a police station in the Zaydi area of Khuzdar earlier today. The attack was swiftly repelled through a rapid and effective response by the Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps. Security sources confirmed that eight terrorists were eliminated during the engagement. Initial reports further indicate that an additional five to six terrorists were killed during subsequent helicopter-supported operations, although these figures remain subject to operational confirmation.
Overall, security sources stated that since 5 July, Operation Shabaan, together with other intelligence-based operations, has resulted in the elimination of 75 terrorists, delivering a significant blow to terrorist networks operating in the region.
The ongoing campaign demonstrates the close coordination between Pakistan’s Armed Forces, Frontier Corps, law enforcement agencies, and intelligence institutions in confronting terrorism. Security forces remain committed to pursuing terrorist elements wherever they attempt to establish sanctuaries and will continue operations until all threats to public safety and national security are eliminated.
Pakistan’s security institutions reaffirm their determination to safeguard the country’s sovereignty, protect its citizens, and ensure that terrorist organizations have no space to operate. The success of the ongoing operations reflects the professionalism, operational readiness, and unwavering commitment of the nation’s security forces in their mission to secure lasting peace and stability.
