Security Forces Hit Terror Network as Key Commander Eliminated in Balochistan

Security Forces, Key Commander Eliminated in Balochistan, Attack on Frontier Corps Headquarters in Quetta

A high-value terrorist commander linked to multiple attacks on security forces has been eliminated in a targeted intelligence-based operation in Balochistan after an extended tracking effort spanning several months.

The individual, identified as a key planner behind the September 2025 attack on the Frontier Corps headquarters in Quetta, was located and neutralized during a recent operation in the Shaban area. Security sources confirmed that the operation also led to the arrest of one of his close associates.

Officials said the commander had remained at large despite multiple follow-up operations in which other members of his network were eliminated in separate engagements across different locations. Earlier operations in the same broader network reportedly resulted in the elimination of dozens of affiliated terrorists and the dismantling of key hideouts.

Security agencies intensified surveillance and intelligence tracking following confirmation of his role in coordinating and facilitating high-impact attacks against security installations. The breakthrough came after sustained monitoring and coordinated field operations that ultimately led to his identification and neutralization.

Authorities further stated that the eliminated individual was allegedly involved in multiple terrorist incidents, including attacks on Frontier Corps installations and other security posts in Balochistan. His network was also linked to drone and suicide-based attacks targeting security personnel.

Officials described the operation as part of an ongoing effort to dismantle terrorist command structures responsible for planning and executing attacks against state institutions.

Security forces continue follow-up clearance and intelligence-based operations in surrounding areas to trace remaining elements linked to the network.
