Pakistani security forces achieved a major operational success last night in Tirah, decisively repelling coordinated attacks on five posts by elements linked to the local drug mafia in collusion with Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists. The swift and targeted response ensured the security of the posts and prevented any operational breach.
Verified intelligence indicates that seven terrorists were killed during the retaliatory action, disrupting the attackers’ plan to cause chaos and propagate false narratives. Attempts by these groups to stage injuries and portray the incident as a drone strike were exposed. Photographs circulated on social media, including those shared by Abdul Ghani Afridi, showed only minor injuries consistent with small-arms fire, far from the catastrophic damage expected from drone strikes.
All individuals involved in the staged drama were young men engaged in illegal activities; no women, children, or elderly were harmed, underscoring the fact that the targets were armed criminals and terrorists attempting to mislead public perception.
Further investigations revealed that this staged propaganda is directly linked to illegal drug operations in the region. Certain villages in Tirah, including CM Sohail Afridi’s area, are being used for large-scale cannabis cultivation and processing. The false narrative of a drone strike was a deliberate attempt to shield these unlawful activities and misinform the public.
Security officials stressed that such propaganda undermines law enforcement efforts and public safety. They urged political representatives, especially in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, to avoid supporting illegal operations or disseminating misleading information that could compromise security.
This operation marks a significant achievement for Pakistan’s security apparatus in maintaining law and order, exposing criminal networks, and safeguarding the region from the combined threat of terrorism and organized crime. Security forces remain vigilant and committed to eliminating all threats, ensuring the safety of the population and the rule of law.
