A remote-controlled bomb targeted the vehicle convoy of District Police Officer (DPO) Shangla, Shah Hassan, in the Doha Khwaro Shekolai Mor area within the jurisdiction of Chowga Police Station.
According to police officials, DPO Shah Hassan and other accompanying officers and personnel remained unhurt in the incident. The blast caused damage to a private vehicle belonging to a Special Branch official, but no casualties were reported.
Following the attack, police forces cordoned off the entire area and launched a large-scale search and strike operation. A Bomb Disposal Unit (BDU) is currently examining the nature of the explosion, police said.
