Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Informs Turkish President Erdogan of Indian Aggression, Reaffirms Pakistan’s Resolve to Defend Sovereignty

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a telephonic conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to apprise him of the recent Indian missile attack and Pakistan’s response, expressing gratitude for Türkiye’s steadfast support and solidarity during this critical time.

During the call, the Prime Minister briefed the Turkish President on the details of the unprovoked Indian aggression, and appreciated Türkiye’s timely expression of support. “We value the prayers of our Turkish brothers over the martyrdoms caused by India’s missile strike,” he said.

Prime Minister Sharif lauded Türkiye’s efforts for peace and stability in the region, calling them commendable and consistent with the shared vision for regional harmony. “Pakistan’s stance remains unambiguous—we desire peace, but any misjudgment must not be mistaken for weakness,” he added.

He further stated that the Pakistan Armed Forces had professionally and decisively thwarted the enemy’s designs. “Our military stands firm and resolute in the face of all threats,” the Prime Minister asserted.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif declared, “We will defend every inch of our territory and our national sovereignty at all costs.”

The call underscored the deep-rooted ties between Pakistan and Türkiye and their shared commitment to peace, security, and mutual respect for sovereignty in the region.
