Director General ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmad Sharif Chaudhry on Wednesday declared that Pakistan would continue pursuing terrorists and their facilitators wherever they may be, saying the country’s campaign against terrorism would continue until its logical conclusion.

Addressing a press conference on Balochistan’s security situation, the military spokesperson said the state would neither be intimidated nor compromise with those targeting innocent Pakistanis.

“If you attack our children, our soldiers and our citizens, there will be no dialogue,” he said.

The DG ISPR stated that security forces remained engaged in counterterrorism operations around the clock and that operations launched after three major attacks in Balochistan had already resulted in the elimination of 54 terrorists.

He said terrorists had attempted to attack innocent civilians, police personnel and key installations but were met with determined resistance from local communities, police and security forces.

According to the DG ISPR, 42 security personnel embraced martyrdom during the attacks, including 27 police officials and 11 Pakistan Army soldiers.

He praised the courage displayed by the people of Balochistan and local police personnel, particularly those in Ziarat, who continued fighting despite being surrounded.

Lieutenant General Ahmad Sharif Chaudhry said terrorists falsely claimed to be fighting for Balochistan and Islam, whereas in reality they were attacking innocent people and opposing every project meant for the province’s welfare.

“Balochistan is Pakistan’s life and honor,” he said.

He stressed that no power in the world could humiliate Pakistan or derail its progress.

“The terrorists can see their own defeat,” he said.

The military spokesperson added that the country’s political and military leadership stood united on the issue of terrorism and remained fully committed to defeating the menace.

“We are on the side of truth. We will win this war against terrorism,” he concluded.
