Pakistan on Tuesday successfully conducted a test launch of its indigenously developed Fatah-4 ground-launched cruise missile, which has a strike range of 750 kilometers, the military said.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the missile can precisely hit targets at long ranges while flying at low altitudes, enabling it to evade detection and neutralise enemy defences.

Equipped with advanced avionics and modern navigation systems, Fatah-4 is designed to defeat hostile missile defense shields, the ISPR spokesperson said.

The test, carried out under the Army Rocket Force Command, is expected to enhance the range, accuracy, and survivability of Pakistan Army’s conventional missile systems.

The launch was witnessed by Chief of General Staff, senior army officers, scientists, and engineers.

President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad, and the services chiefs congratulated the armed forces, scientists, and engineers on the successful test.
