Pakistan’s Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said the situation of fundamental rights and human freedoms in Afghanistan remains a serious concern.

He stated that many Afghan citizens are deprived of basic rights, adding that the humanitarian and civil liberty situation inside Afghanistan is worrying from a regional perspective.

The minister revealed that Afghan nationals were involved in the attacks carried out in Islamabad’s Kachehri and Tarlai areas, further raising security concerns for Pakistan.

He said recent acts of terrorism inside Pakistan were linked to the use of Afghan territory by militant elements, which he described as a major threat to regional peace.

The minister added that any aggression originating from Afghan soil had been effectively responded to by Pakistani authorities.

Reaffirming the government’s position, Attaullah Tarar said Pakistan will not compromise on national security and will continue taking decisive measures against terrorism.

He stressed that protecting the country and ensuring effective counterterrorism action remain top priorities of the state
