Operation 11 Garaj: Security Forces Eliminate 11 Khawarij in Intelligence-Based Operation in North Waziristan

Security forces conducted a successful intelligence-based operation (IBO) against a formation of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Khawarij in Shawal Valley, North Waziristan, resulting in the elimination of 11 Khawarij terrorists, according to security sources.

The operation, designated “Operation 11 Garaj,” was launched following credible intelligence regarding the presence and movement of an armed TTP Khawarij formation in the remote mountainous terrain of Shawal Valley.

During the intelligence-based operation, security forces maintained surveillance of the identified Khawarij position and confirmed the presence of the terrorist formation at the targeted location. An armed quadcopter was subsequently employed to engage the identified position. The precision strike successfully hit the Khawarij formation, resulting in the killing of 11 terrorists.

The operation effectively disrupted the targeted TTP formation and denied the Khawarij an opportunity to exploit the area for further terrorist activities.

The successful operation highlights the role of timely and actionable intelligence in identifying terrorist formations operating in difficult and remote terrain. The Shawal Valley region, characterized by challenging mountainous terrain and difficult access, has historically presented security challenges. The identification of the Khawarij formation and the subsequent precision engagement enabled security forces to strike the group at its identified position.

The operation also demonstrates the continued use of modern surveillance and precision capabilities by security forces to detect and neutralize terrorist elements while maintaining focus on protecting the local population.
