No Pakistani Airstrikes in Kunar, Officials Dismiss Viral Claims as Fabricated

Reports circulating on social media and attributed to certain outlets have claimed that the Pakistani military carried out missile strikes in Asadabad city, the capital of Kunar province, including alleged targeting of a university dormitory. These claims further suggest civilian casualties, including women and children.

However, official and verified sources have rejected these assertions, stating that no such military operation was conducted by Pakistan in Kunar or any other area across the border.

Authorities clarified that the allegations being circulated are based on unverified and propaganda-driven accounts, and no credible evidence has been presented to support the claims of strikes on civilian infrastructure or educational institutions, adding further that the unholy alliance of Afghan Taliban and India, after suffering consecutive defeats and humiliating retreats on the battlefield, these unlikely partners have long ago turned to social media as their new front to spread falsehoods and fake propaganda in a desperate attempt to mask their failures, as well as shamelessly malign Pakistan.

It is also being stated that no official confirmation of any casualties exists, and initial reports being shared online remain unverified.

Security officials maintain that Pakistan did not carry out any airstrikes in the region and described the circulating narrative as false information being amplified through certain affiliated online networks.

Observers note that such claims often emerge in highly sensitive border environments and tend to spread rapidly on social media before verification, contributing to confusion and misinformation.

At present, no independent international monitoring body or official authority has confirmed any incident matching the description being circulated.
