National Resistance Front Claims Targeted Operation in Kabul, Reports Taliban Casualties and Vehicle Damage

The National Resistance Front (NRF) has claimed responsibility for a targeted operation conducted in Afghanistan’s capital, Kabul, alleging that three Taliban members were killed and another injured during the incident.

According to a statement issued by the NRF, the operation took place near Silo Road in Kabul’s District 5 at approximately 7:00 PM local time. The group described the action as a precision strike directed at Taliban personnel operating in the area.

The NRF further claimed that the operation also resulted in damage to a Taliban military vehicle, which it said was struck during the engagement. No additional details regarding the nature of the attack or the equipment used were immediately provided by the group.

In its statement, the NRF asserted that the operation was carried out with careful planning and precision, emphasizing that no civilians were harmed during the incident. The group also stated that all of its fighters involved in the operation returned safely without casualties.

The Taliban has not yet independently confirmed the reported casualties or the damage to its vehicle. As of now, there has been no official public statement from Taliban authorities regarding the incident.

The reported operation comes amid continuing tensions and sporadic clashes between anti-Taliban resistance groups and Taliban security forces in various parts of Afghanistan. The NRF, which claims to represent organized resistance against Taliban rule, has previously announced similar operations targeting Taliban positions in multiple provinces.

Security analysts note that Kabul remains a highly sensitive environment where competing narratives and conflicting claims frequently emerge in the absence of independent verification. As a result, casualty figures and operational details reported by involved parties often cannot be immediately confirmed.
