Residents of North and South Waziristan, Dir, Kohat and neighbouring districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the former FATA have voiced unified condemnation of recent terrorist attacks launched from Afghan territory and expressed steadfast solidarity with the Pakistan Armed Forces and law-enforcement agencies. Community leaders and local residents urged an end to cross-border violence and called on relevant authorities to close militant sanctuaries and restore peace to the border region.
Thousands of men and women from affected districts gathered to denounce the attacks and to reaffirm their support for security institutions. Participants emphasized that the people stand with the armed forces in confronting terrorism and safeguarding national sovereignty. “We strongly condemn the cross-border terrorist strikes and stand united with our army and police in defending Pakistan’s territory and citizens,” participants said.
Speakers at the gatherings urged the Afghan authorities to act against terrorist groups operating from their soil and to dismantle bases used to launch attacks. They warned that continued cross-border aggression destabilizes the entire region and places civilian lives at risk. The gatherings also highlighted Pakistan’s efforts to provide refuge and humanitarian assistance to displaced Afghans, while calling for reciprocity in respecting Pakistan’s security and territorial integrity.
Local representatives called for enhanced border monitoring, coordinated intelligence sharing, and decisive action against extremist outfits to prevent further loss of life. They reiterated faith in the capabilities of the Pakistan Army and Air Force to protect the nation and requested government-level engagement with international and neighbouring stakeholders to halt cross-border militancy.
