Khyber IBO Nets Three Terrorists, Weapons and Explosives Recovered

Security forces have arrested three terrorists during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Khyber District, dealing another blow to terrorist networks operating in the region.

According to sources, the operation was conducted after receiving intelligence regarding the presence and activities of terrorist elements in the area. Security forces swiftly moved against the suspected hideouts and successfully apprehended three terrorists without allowing them an opportunity to escape.

Weapons, explosives and other material linked to terrorist activities were recovered from the possession of the arrested individuals during the operation.

The arrested terrorists have been shifted to a security facility for further investigation and interrogation, where authorities are expected to gather information regarding their network, facilitators, movement patterns and possible involvement in terrorist activities.

Sources said the operation was part of ongoing intelligence-driven efforts aimed at identifying, tracking and dismantling terrorist networks in Khyber District and other sensitive areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Security forces and law enforcement agencies have intensified intelligence-based operations across the province to prevent terrorist activities, disrupt support networks and ensure the protection of citizens.

Officials have reiterated that operations against terrorist elements will continue with the objective of restoring and maintaining peace, stability and the state’s writ in areas affected by terrorism.
