Armed Khawarij launched a coordinated attack on the Aba Shaheed Police Station in Dera Ismail Khan using sniper rifles and other advanced weapons, but the assault was repelled by a swift and courageous response from police personnel, officials said.
District Police Officer (DPO) Sajjad Ahmed Sajjadah praised the bravery of the force, noting that the attackers were forced to flee after encountering immediate and effective resistance. “Our jawans demonstrated exceptional courage and foiled the designs of the Khawarij without allowing any damage or casualties,” he stated.
Following the incident, the Quick Response Force (QRF), Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), and other police contingents quickly cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to track down the fleeing assailants.
Officials confirmed that no loss of life or property occurred, crediting the successful defence of the station to the timely and determined action of the police force.
