Security forces and police have launched a joint search-and-strike operation against Fitna al-Khwarij in the Hasan Zai Dara area of Central Orakzai, intensifying counterterrorism efforts in the volatile tribal district.
The operation was conducted in the jurisdiction of Mishti Mela Police Station, with security personnel carrying out a comprehensive search of Hasan Zai Dara and adjoining areas.
During the operation, various locations, entry and exit routes and other strategically important points were thoroughly searched to detect the presence of terrorists and their facilitators.
Security personnel also monitored suspicious movement and activity in the area as part of efforts to prevent terrorists from establishing or restoring operational footholds.
The operation was aimed specifically at identifying and disrupting the support network facilitating Fitna al-Khwarij, while denying terrorists access to potential hideouts and movement routes.
The coordinated action reflects continued pressure on terrorist networks in Orakzai, where security forces and law-enforcement agencies are maintaining vigilance to prevent terrorist activity and strengthen security in vulnerable areas.
Search and clearance activities are continuing in the surrounding areas as security personnel work to identify any remaining terrorist presence or support infrastructure.
The joint operation also underscores the importance of coordinated counterterrorism efforts, with security forces and police combining resources and local intelligence to prevent terrorists from exploiting remote terrain and re-establishing their presence in the region.
