A coordinated network of Indian and Afghan social media accounts has been found actively spreading disinformation and malicious propaganda against Pakistan, reportedly in support of the terrorist group Fitna al-Khawarij with the aim of inciting unrest and instability in the region.
According to reports, these accounts are amplifying false narratives promoted by the group’s media wing, Osint TV, as part of a wider information warfare campaign. In one recent example, the network falsely claimed that certain Pakistan Army personnel had defected to join the Taliban. However, credible security sources have categorically denied the claim, confirming that no such incident has occurred or been reported anywhere.
Experts believe the disinformation drive represents a deliberate attempt to malign Pakistan’s security institutions through hate-filled and misleading content. The propaganda, they added, is being orchestrated under the directives of the Modi-led Indian government to tarnish Pakistan’s image on the international stage and sow discord within the region.
Pakistani officials have strongly rejected these baseless allegations, reaffirming that the state and its institutions remain steadfast in the face of hostile propaganda. They stated that such malicious campaigns by anti-state elements will not deter Pakistan from its commitment to national security and regional stability.
