Security forces have continued operations against terrorists in Hangu, eliminating three terrorists affiliated with Fitna al-Khwarij during an intelligence-based action in the Chapri Naryab Chowk area.
According to police officials, multiple other terrorists were also injured during the operation, while the action against the remaining elements is still ongoing.
District Police Officer Tariq Habib confirmed that the security operation in the area has not yet concluded, with security forces and law enforcement personnel continuing efforts to clear the area and neutralize the remaining terrorist presence.
Sources said the operation was launched following intelligence reports regarding the presence of Fitna al-Khwarij terrorists in the area. Security forces cordoned off the suspected location and engaged the terrorists, resulting in the elimination of three terrorists and injuries to several others.
The operation is part of ongoing coordinated efforts by security forces and law enforcement agencies in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to dismantle terrorist networks, disrupt their movement and prevent attacks on civilians and security personnel.
Hangu and surrounding areas have remained among the districts facing security challenges due to attempts by terrorist groups to regain footholds. Security institutions have intensified intelligence-based operations to eliminate terrorist infrastructure and restore lasting peace in the region.
Further details regarding the operation and recoveries, if any, are expected after its completion.
