The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on reported that five Khwarij were eliminated and two others captured during three separate intelligence-based operations conducted by Pakistan’s security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on April 30 and May 1.
In the first operation, conducted in Bajaur district, security forces acted on confirmed intelligence regarding the presence of Khwarij. During the ensuing firefight, three Khwarij — including a high-value target identified as Fareed Ullah — were neutralised.
A second operation was carried out in the Dossali area of North Waziristan, where security personnel effectively engaged hostile elements and eliminated two more Khwarij following a brief exchange of fire.
The third encounter took place in Mohmand district, where security forces successfully dismantled a Khwarij hideout and apprehended two militants, including a high-value target named Lal Ameer alias Ibrahim. A cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was also recovered.
According to ISPR, the eliminated and apprehended Khwarij were involved in numerous terrorist activities. Security forces have launched subsequent sanitisation operations to clear the area of any remaining threats, reaffirming their commitment to eradicating the menace of terrorism from the country.
