Indian-Sponsored Militants, Chaman's Roghani Sector, Intelligence-Based-Operation

At least five Afghan-backed, and Indian-sponsored militants were killed and three security personnel embraced martyrdom during an intelligence-based operation in the Roghani sector of Chaman, security sources said on Tuesday.

According to officials, security forces launched the operation after receiving credible intelligence regarding the presence of militants in the border area. The group was described by sources as an Afghan-backed Indian proxy network operating near the sensitive Pakistan-Afghanistan frontier.

As troops moved to cordon off suspected hideouts, militants opened fire, triggering an intense exchange. During the firefight, three soldiers were martyred in the line of duty.

Security forces responded with sustained and targeted fire, killing five militants on the spot. The identities of the deceased attackers were being ascertained, while weapons and ammunition were reportedly recovered from the site.

The Roghani sector, located along a porous stretch of the border near Chaman, has remained under heightened vigilance amid repeated attempts by hostile elements to exploit cross-border terrain and support structures.

A clearance and search operation was ongoing in the area at the time of reporting to eliminate any remaining threats and secure the vicinity.

Officials reaffirmed that operations would continue to neutralize militant networks attempting to destabilize border districts, adding that security forces remain on high alert along the western frontier.
