Another disturbing case has emerged of a state-supported student turning against Pakistan. Feroz Sarbaan, a Baloch youth who received his education in Punjab at government expense and later studied Political Science at the University of Turbat, was recently killed during a terrorist attack.

Sources confirm that Feroz, once provided with scholarships, educational support, and all necessary facilities by the state for a brighter future, chose instead the path of terrorism, betrayal, and violence.

His story, along with others like him, debunks the narrative that terrorism in Balochistan is merely a reaction to deprivation. In Feroz’s case, it was a conscious decision — not born of poverty, but driven by radical ideology and, allegedly, foreign interests.

Despite these setbacks, the state of Pakistan continues to offer thousands of Baloch students free education, scholarships, and career opportunities across Punjab, Sindh, and other regions. However, it remains a matter of deep regret that a few, despite all these privileges, still fall into the hands of the enemy and raise arms against their own soil.

Feroz’s betrayal serves as a harsh reminder of the complex ideological battle Pakistan continues to face in its fight against terrorism and misinformation.
