Dir Operation: 10 Fitna al Khwarij Eliminated, 7 Soldiers Martyred Saving Hostages

Pakistan’s security forces conducted a successful operation in Lower Dir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, eliminating 10 India-sponsored Fitna al Khwarij . During the intense exchange of fire, seven brave soldiers embraced martyrdom while rescuing civilians held hostage by the Khawarij.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that the operation was launched in Lal Qila Maidan following intelligence reports about the presence of Indian proxy Fitna al Khwarij. Security forces effectively targeted the hideout, eliminating 10 militants after a fierce gun battle.

The martyred soldiers include Naik Abdul Jalil (39, North Waziristan), Naik Gul Jan (38, Lakki Marwat), Lance Naik Azmatullah (28, Lakki Marwat), Sepoy Abdul Malik (28, Khyber), Sepoy Muhammad Amjad (27, Malakand), Sepoy Muhammad Dawood (23, Swabi), and Sepoy Fazal Qayyum (21, Dera Ismail Khan).

Intelligence assessments confirmed the involvement of Afghan nationals in these heinous acts. Pakistan has called on the interim Afghan government to fulfill its responsibilities and prevent its soil from being used for terrorism against Pakistan.

A clearance operation is underway in the region to eliminate any remaining Indian-sponsored Fitna al Khwarij. The armed forces remain resolute in eradicating the menace of terrorism, and the supreme sacrifices of the soldiers further strengthen national resolve.

Earlier, security forces neutralized 35 Fitna al Khwarij in separate operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, during which 12 soldiers were also martyred. In Bajaur, an intelligence-based operation led to the elimination of 22 Indian-backed terrorists after heavy fire exchange.
