Lakki Marwat, Terrorist Attack on Gas Pipeline, Lakki Marwat Attack

Gas supply has been disrupted in several areas of Lakki Marwat after terrorists damaged a gas pipeline in the Paharkhel Pakka area, causing a rapid gas leak, according to local sources.

The damaged pipeline has resulted in continued gas leakage, while gas supplies to multiple surrounding areas have reportedly been suspended as a precautionary measure.

The incident has raised fresh concerns over the vulnerability of critical public infrastructure in Lakki Marwat and other southern districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where terrorists have repeatedly targeted facilities serving local communities.

Gas pipelines, communication bridges and other public infrastructure have previously been targeted in such attacks, disrupting essential services and creating additional difficulties for residents.

A similar incident was reported in Lakki Marwat a day earlier, when terrorists damaged a gas pipeline, affecting gas supplies to several areas.

The repeated targeting of gas infrastructure not only disrupts domestic and commercial supplies but can also create serious safety risks because of uncontrolled gas leakage.

Repair and restoration work will be required to secure the damaged section of the pipeline and resume normal gas supplies to affected areas.

The recurring attacks have also intensified concerns over the protection of critical infrastructure in southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where terrorists continue to seek ways to disrupt public life and essential services.

Residents have called for effective measures to protect vital installations and prevent repeated attacks on infrastructure that directly affects the daily lives of local communities.
