CTD Bannu Takes Out Most-Wanted TTP Militants in Precision Night Raid

In a late-night intelligence-based operation, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Bannu and local police successfully neutralized three heinous terrorists in Nawazabad, Miryan area of Bannu. The operation was launched following credible reports of militant presence.

During the encounter, all three militants were killed in an intense gun battle. According to CTD Bannu, the slain terrorists were involved in the targeted killings of multiple police personnel including constables Farman Ali, Nusrat, Kamran, Head Constable Fayazuddin, Constable Sikandar, and ASI Asghar Khan.

The group was also linked to several attacks on police stations—Thana Basyakhel, Bannu City Cantt, and Mirakhel—as well as assaults on various police check posts. They were wanted in dozens of terrorism-related cases.

The dead militants were identified as:

Mudassir alias Mudassari, son of Haider Ali, resident of Mambati Barakzai Bannu

Turab alias Umar Khitab alias Malang, son of Raqiyaz, resident of Khudri Mamundkhel Bannu

Muhammad Hussain alias Muaz, son of Shad Ayaz, resident of Mamashkhel Bannu

CTD recovered automatic rifles (Kalashnikovs), pistols, cartridges, an IED device, and a motorcycle from the scene. Authorities confirmed the militants had ties with the banned Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) – Zarar group and Hafiz Gul Bahadur faction.
