In a reaffirmation of unwavering bilateral ties, Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (IDCPC), Liu Jianchao, lauded Pakistan as China’s “iron brother” during a significant meeting with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Ishaq Dar, held in Beijing.
The high-level engagement, attended by Liu Jianchao’s delegation and senior Pakistani officials, underscored the enduring strength of Pakistan-China relations. Both sides agreed to further institutionalize cooperation between their political parties and enhance strategic dialogue at all levels. The discussions reflected a shared commitment to consolidating ties in a rapidly evolving global and regional environment.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar expressed deep appreciation for China’s unwavering support for Pakistan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national development. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to its all-weather strategic cooperative partnership with China, terming it a cornerstone of Pakistan’s foreign policy.
Minister Liu Jianchao stated, “China considers Pakistan its iron brother,” adding that China places its relations with Pakistan as a high priority and will continue to support Pakistan’s development and stability.
Official sources confirmed that Senator Dar will meet his Chinese counterpart later today to deliberate on pressing regional and global developments, including the recent escalation between Pakistan and India. A trilateral meeting involving the foreign ministers of Pakistan, China, and Afghanistan is also scheduled, aiming to foster regional peace and connectivity.
