Bannu Police Constable Javed Khan Embraces Martyrdom in Line of Duty

A brave police constable, Javed Khan, embraced martyrdom while defending the homeland after coming under terrorist fire near Do Sadak Kaki in Bannu district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to initial police reports, terrorists of Fitna al-Khawarij riding on motorcycles opened fire on the police constable. Javed Khan sustained critical injuries and succumbed to them at the scene, attaining the status of a martyr in the line of duty.

Following the attack, police units swiftly cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to trace and apprehend the terrorists involved. Security has been tightened across the region, and intelligence-based operations are underway.

Funeral Held with Full Police Honours

The funeral prayer for the martyred constable was held at Iqbal Shaheed Police Lines, Bannu, with full official honours.

The ceremony was attended by DIG Bannu Region Sajjad Khan, DPO Bannu Saleem Abbas Kulachi, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Faheem, Brigadier Umair Niazi, SP Traffic Ihsanuddin, other senior police and administrative officers, fellow policemen, and a large number of the martyr’s relatives and citizens.

‘Our Martyrs Are Our Pride,’ Says DIG Sajjad Khan

Speaking on the occasion, DIG Sajjad Khan paid tribute to the fallen hero, saying that the sacrifices of Bannu police personnel would never be forgotten.

“Our martyrs are our pride. The peace we enjoy today is illuminated by the blood of our brave sons,” the DIG said, vowing that those responsible for the cowardly act would be brought to justice.

He added that the police force remains determined to eradicate terrorism and protect the people of Pakistan, no matter the cost.
