Attack on Under-Construction Security Post in South Waziristan; Workers Injured and Abducted

An incident of serious security concern was reported in South Waziristan, where unknown armed assailants launched an attack near a local market on an under-construction government security post within the jurisdiction of Makin Police Station, according to police sources.

During the attack, two laborers sustained injuries, while four other workers were abducted by the assailants. Police sources confirmed that the injured workers were promptly shifted to a nearby medical facility, where they received initial medical treatment and are reported to be in stable condition.

Law enforcement agencies have initiated investigations into the abduction of the four workers, and efforts are underway to trace their whereabouts and identify those responsible for the attack. Preliminary information suggests that the abducted and injured workers belong to Dera Ismail Khan, adding to concerns regarding the safety of laborers working in sensitive areas.
