Frontier Corps (FC) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa North marked Police Martyrs Day across the province with solemn ceremonies, reaffirming solidarity with the families of fallen police personnel and paying tribute to their sacrifices in Pakistan’s fight against terrorism.
The commemorative events were organized on the special directives of the Inspector General FC KP North and were held simultaneously in multiple districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The ceremonies brought together officers from the police, Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps and the civil administration, alongside families of martyred police personnel, children of the martyrs, tribal elders and members of the local community.
Special tribute ceremonies were held at martyrs’ memorials, where smartly turned-out police contingents presented ceremonial salutes. Floral wreaths were laid at the memorials, while participants offered prayers for the departed souls and reiterated their commitment to carrying forward the mission for which the martyrs laid down their lives.
The central Police Martyrs Day ceremony was held in Peshawar, where senior officials of Frontier Corps KP North joined police officers, families of martyrs and other dignitaries to honor the sacrifices of law enforcement personnel who embraced martyrdom while defending the country against terrorism and maintaining public security.
During the ceremony, gifts were distributed among the children of martyred police personnel as a gesture of appreciation and support for their families. Participants also interacted with the families of the martyrs, acknowledging their resilience and assuring them that the sacrifices of their loved ones would never be forgotten.
Speakers at the ceremonies described the martyrs as symbols of courage, patriotism and unwavering commitment, noting that the restoration of peace and stability in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had come at the cost of immense sacrifices by police officers, security forces and other law enforcement personnel.
The observance of Police Martyrs Day also highlighted the close coordination between the police, Frontier Corps and Pakistan Army in the ongoing counterterrorism campaign across the province. Officials reiterated that the legacy of the martyrs would continue to inspire future generations and reaffirmed their resolve to continue operations against terrorist networks until lasting peace is secured throughout the country.
