On the occasion of the 28th anniversary of Youm-e-Takbeer, the senior leadership of Pakistan’s armed forces extended heartfelt congratulations to the nation, marking the historic milestone that transformed the country into a declared nuclear power, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, along with the Chief of Air Staff and Chief of Naval Staff, conveyed their felicitations to the people of Pakistan, paying tribute to what they described as a defining moment in the country’s strategic and national history.
According to ISPR, Youm-e-Takbeer commemorates the day when Pakistan emerged as a nuclear power, restoring strategic balance in South Asia and reinforcing its sovereign deterrence capability.
