The Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has issued an important message to the people of the province, welcoming the presidential proclamation and calling for unity, peace, stability, and collective efforts to eliminate terrorism and restore normalcy across the province.
In his message, the Governor stated that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa desired lasting peace, security, development, and prosperity. He said the public wanted to move beyond a prolonged period of insecurity and unrest towards a peaceful future in which citizens could live without fear and benefit from improved economic opportunities and public services.
The Governor expressed confidence that the people of the province stood for peace and stability and would continue to support lawful efforts to protect their communities from terrorism and violence.
The Governor stated that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had made their choice clear: they did not want to support Fitna al-Khawarij and instead wanted a peaceful, secure, and prosperous future for the province.
He emphasised that the people would stand shoulder to shoulder with Pakistan’s security institutions and remain committed to the fight against terrorists until the threat was effectively addressed.
He further stated that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were peace-loving and did not support terrorism or violent activities. According to the Governor, the public’s aspirations were firmly centred on stability, economic progress, social development, and the protection of their fundamental rights.
The Governor urged citizens to exercise restraint and avoid any activity that could disturb public order. He called on the public to refrain from violations of the law, provocation, violence, and activities that could create further instability.
He warned that individuals involved in disrupting peace or taking the law into their own hands would face legal action in accordance with the law.
The Governor stressed that maintaining peace was a shared responsibility and that public cooperation with the relevant authorities was essential to protecting lives, safeguarding property, and preventing further unrest.
Highlighting the aspirations of the people, the Governor said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa sought stronger brotherly relations and closer cooperation with other provinces of Pakistan.
He emphasised the importance of sharing experiences, coordinating development initiatives, and pursuing joint efforts to promote economic growth, social progress, and public welfare.
The Governor stated that the people wanted democratic values to flourish and the benefits of development to reach ordinary citizens. He underlined that lasting prosperity required a peaceful environment, effective governance, institutional cooperation, and a collective commitment to addressing public concerns.
