Pakistan’s military has issued a stern warning to India against any attempts to violate the ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC), vowing a swift and decisive response to any provocation.
In an interview with Sky News, Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, declared that Pakistan’s armed forces are fully prepared to defend the country’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
“Any effort to breach our borders will be met with a ruthless and assured response,” General Chaudhry stated emphatically. He further warned that any escalation between two nuclear-armed neighbours could have catastrophic consequences for the entire region.

Commenting on India’s military posture, he said, “If India believes it can open a front against Pakistan, it must realise that such a move would only lead to regional devastation.”
Highlighting the ongoing Kashmir dispute, the ISPR chief condemned India’s treatment of Kashmir as an “internal matter” and criticised the heavy military presence that, according to him, aims to intimidate and suppress the Kashmiri population.
“The Kashmir issue must be resolved in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions, through the will of the Kashmiri people,” he asserted.
General Chaudhry also emphasized that international powers, including the United States, are now more aware of the nuclear risks and are closely watching India’s intentions.
He noted that despite India’s superior military numbers, Pakistan has achieved significant strategic military successes, underlining the country’s preparedness and resilience.
The remarks come amid growing tensions in the region and reinforce Pakistan’s firm stance on national defence and the Kashmir issue.
