A high-value militant affiliated with the banned Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Gul Bahadur group, was neutralised during an intelligence-based operation conducted by security forces in the Naurang Khel area of Jani Khel, Bannu district, official sources confirmed on Monday.
The operation resulted in an exchange of fire between the security forces and terrorists, leading to the elimination of a key figure identified as Abrar. The individual was reportedly involved in orchestrating attacks on security personnel and carrying out other acts of sabotage in the region.
In a related development, the militant faction Majlis Askari Karwan Waziristani also acknowledged the loss of their member, confirming Abrar’s demise during the encounter.
This successful operation underscores the resolve of the security forces to eradicate militancy and restore peace and stability in the area.
