Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday declared that Pakistan had delivered a “crushing and calculated” military response to Indian aggression, stating that the blood of innocent Pakistanis had been avenged and that the enemy had been dealt a powerful blow. In a series of telephonic conversations with top political leaders, the prime minister shared details of the successful retaliatory operation and lauded the armed forces for their exemplary professionalism and courage.
The premier reached out to PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Barrister Gohar Ali Khan of PTI, MQM-P Convener Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Jamaat-e-Islami’s Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, BAP’s Khalid Magsi, and IPP leader Chaudhry Salik Hussain, taking them into confidence over the operation that struck back decisively at India.
“Alhamdulillah, our valiant armed forces have given India a befitting and forceful response,” said PM Shehbaz. “Despite India’s refusal to allow neutral investigations into the Pahalgam incident, and despite its cowardly missile and drone strikes on Pakistani soil targeting innocent civilians, Pakistan acted with patience—but not weakness. Today, we responded with strength, precision, and purpose.”
The prime minister said that while India deliberately targeted unarmed civilians, Pakistan chose its moment and delivered justice with military excellence. “We have avenged the blood of innocents. India must now understand: every act of hostility will be met with strength. Our armed forces have shown unmatched resolve, and I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the entire nation.”
During the conversations, political leaders across party lines praised the professionalism, discipline, and bravery of Pakistan’s armed forces. They assured full support and pledged national unity in the face of Indian aggression.
“Our brave sons in uniform have once again proven that Pakistan stands unshaken in the face of enemy provocations,” the political leaders said. “The defence of our homeland is in the safest hands.”
Later, PM Shehbaz expressed his gratitude to the national leadership for standing together with the state at a critical moment. “Our unity is our strength. India has been exposed and defeated—militarily, morally, and diplomatically.”
